Botulinum toxin falls under the Medicines Act and can therefore only be prescribed by a licensed doctor. Thus, approved and registered physicians fulfil the necessary requirements to perform procedures with botulinum toxin.
From the time of your licence to practise medicine, you are legally permitted to prescribe botulnum toxin therapy.
A sound knowledge of possible complications and risks ensures successful treatment. The patient information consultation should include the naming of complications, both for the patient’s understanding and for legal protection.
After our online Masterclass, you will have gained insight into the treatment and implementation of these procedures. Upon course completion, you receive a certificate.
Hyaluronic acid can be freely purchased and therefore does not require a prescription. Approved and registered doctors may inject dermal fillers (e.g. hyaluronic acid). You are authorised to inject hyaluronic acid, regardless of your speciality.
The above information may differ depending on the country, the county, and the respective medical association responsible for that area. If you have further legal questions, please contact the relevant health authority in your country.
